How little do we know...

I got tired of reading through the facebook yesterday! I was so dissappointed in what become of our so called devoted god loving people... While reading through their comments you can't help but to see the words god this god that... while they bend themselves to maliciously commenting on things.

How little do they know...

An earthquake of such tremendous strenght shook Sendai in The Miyagi Province in Japan. A tsunami of 30 feet destroyed many towns and districts in the province. The first reaction I read thru the Facebook was that God punishment has befallen those defy-ers... The God, the One God, The True God, The Generous has once again punished certain people...

Hmmm.. for the people who claimed they have found god and know they are in the right path towards heaven.. and all they can think of is, God is punishing people? By saying such, they are actually.. revealing most ugly side of their heart! Can a muslim not be human for once?

Where the sympathies towards children, parents, love ones who were left behind in the tragedy? While we are enjoying our dinner here, are they having any....? How inhumane can a person gets? For a people in the true path, should that be the reaction?

I won't be so quick to blame god for whatever misfortune befallen humans if I were them. It is unlikely that it is His doing in the first place. Or is it? How are we to know for sure that is it.. or it is not! We could be blaiming god for an action that was not His doing for all I know! Where does that put us then.. we pointed a finger of some ill-fallen tragedy towards God and justified that by saying it is a punishment, in pretext, to show that we are in the true path and we are pious? Is that it?

If the pious are all like that.. I do not want to join the group...It is sickening!

Japan is seated on the plate boundaries much like Indonesia, Iran, part of Russia, Western USA, most part of Europe etc... As pressure from the earth's core, gasses reaction and weight of sea water adjusting to each other finding the right balance, the plate moves... Causing earthquake... (one reason). It is normal for countries like Japan, Indonesia, Iran, some parts of Nepal, China etc to have tremors..

While most earthquakes are caused by movement of the Earth's tectonic plates, human activity can also produce earthquakes. Four main activities contribute to this phenomenon: storing large amounts of water behind a dam (and possibly building an extremely heavy building), drilling and injecting liquid into wells, and by coal mining and oil drilling.

Perhaps the best known example is the 2008 Sichuan earthquake in China's Sichuan Province in May; this tremor resulted in 69,227 fatalities and is the 19th deadliest earthquake of all time. The Zipingpu Dam is believed to have fluctuated the pressure of the fault 1,650 feet (503 m) away; this pressure probably increased the power of the earthquake and accelerated the rate of movement for the fault.

The greatest earthquake in Australia's history is also claimed to be induced by humanity, through coal mining. The city of Newcastle was built over a large sector of coal mining areas. The earthquake has been reported to be spawned from a fault that reactivated due to the millions of tonnes of rock removed in the mining process.

There are around 500,000 earthquakes each year. About 100,000 of these can actually be felt. Minor earthquakes occur nearly constantly around the world in places like California and Alaska in the U.S., as well as in Guatemala. Chile, Peru, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, the Azores in Portugal, Turkey, New Zealand, Greece, Italy, and Japan, but earthquakes can occur almost anywhere, including New York City, London, and Australia.

Larger earthquakes occur less frequently, the relationship being exponential; for example, roughly ten times as many earthquakes larger than magnitude 4 occur in a particular time period than earthquakes larger than magnitude 5. In the (low seismicity) United Kingdom, for example, it has been calculated that the average recurrences are: an earthquake of 3.7 - 4.6 every year, an earthquake of 4.7 - 5.5 every 10 years, and an earthquake of 5.6 or larger every 100 years.

Please.. those who belives in God. Be more knowledgeable. Read a lot. Reason things out thru qada and qadar first before ruling it is god's doing! God has provided certain rules for the land, the living things and also certain rules for us humans.. please understand them!

It is actually funny to read the first reaction of muslims, always putting or rather blaiming god to everything.. Can we really do that? Can we say it is God's doing? Are we knowledgeable enough to say that...

To me, maybe after dismissing all the other possibilities, and then seeking it again, fearing I might miss any, then.. only then, I will say.. God.. I know not the reason why this thing happens, I fear you God, have pity on those who are suffering from this.. I do not want this to happen to me nor I want it to happen to anyone.. Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim.. Ya dzal Jalaliwal ihram.. protect me from those misfortunes and tragedies I know not!

  2. Thanks for the comment. I was watching TV today and heard this saying from Abu Bakar Al Siqqid. He said something about what is ours and what is god's. Hak Allah mengetahui we can't even imagine. But for us, hak kita adalah memahami qada dan qadar. It is best that we focus on ours and not too greedy as wanting to understand what's Allah. We can never understand it. Even we tihnk that we know the answer, it may not be the answer! It is bettter here, that we understand the reason for our failure or our gain. Thru understand the set of rules god has clearly drawn down...
